My name is Doug Routley and I have the honor of representing the beautiful constituency of Nanaimo-North Cowichan. From our beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes to our pastoral Gulf Islands, natural beaches and rugged shorelines, we enjoy one of the most spectacular natural environments on the globe. We have a long history of forestry, mining and artistic excellence. We are a favorite destination of tourists from around the world. But, even in the midst of such natural wealth and beauty, we still face challenges. Many struggle to meet the increasingly daunting costs of living and many kinds of development challenge our precious environment and resources. It is the protection of these great assets and pursuit of fairness in our communities that my office serves. Whether to celebrate and promote our community or to seek help in a struggle with the challenges of our lives, please view my office as a welcoming port of call. I look forward to serving you.
